Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is Chi Art?
A: Chi is frequently translated as life energy, life force or energy flow. Unlike art for art’s sake, which focuses on the finished piece, Chi Art focuses on the process of creation itself and helps to nurture and balance your Chi. Chi Art helps healing in various ways. First the aesthetic quality of the work produced can lift a person's mood, boost self-awareness and improve self-esteem. Second, research shows that physiological functions, such as heart rate, blood pressure and breathing calm down (similar to when meditating), when people are deeply involved in an activity they enjoy. The creation of art helps people get in touch with thoughts and feelings that are often hidden from the conscious mind.
Q: Who is Chi Art for?
A: It's for everybody! Through art making and relating to the artist, with the art as an interface, people can develop healthier ways to manage life, gain insights into the root causes of their unhappiness, and experiment with change. Chi Art is well recognized for its effectiveness in the following areas:
*Important: Our classes usually take place within small group and are most suitable for adults (we accept 21+) never the less private one-on-one (or mini group) sessions are available upon inquiry; these sessions can be tailored to fit individual expectations, needs and age.
Q: What is the difference between Art with Twist and Chi Art?
A: Art with Twist is more like an art entertainment. It's about having fun and socializing with your friends, meeting new people, all of this while painting along with the artist. And at the end you leave with painting to impress. Chi Art is more about you as an individual. Getting yourself to relax, focusing on the process of the creation, regaining your balance. Chi Art often contains repetitive patterns that allow your thoughts, feelings and energy to just flow, just like when meditating.
Q: How much, and what am I paying for?
